European Centre for Dispute Resolution is a private non-profit institute founded on 3 February 2012 with the Decision of District Court in Ljubljana.
European Centre for Dispute Resolution consists of the following bodies:
Council of the Institute
Council of the Institute is a collective body that manages ECDR. Council of the Institute with consensus of the Institute Founder adopts the Statute and other Rules and General Acts of ECDR, nominates and recalls the Director, adopts and supervises the business and development plan, determines the financial plan and adopts the final financial report, proposes to the Founder change or extension of activities, gives to the Founder and Director of ECDR proposals and opinions on certain issues and pursues other matters as defined by law, Act on Establishment, Statute or other Rules of ECDR.

Director
Director organizes and leads the activities and operations of ECDR, presents and represents ECDR and is responsible for the legality of its activities. Director of ECDR is Mr. Uroš Petohleb.
President of the Institute
The function of the President of the Institute is honorary. Presidents presents the Institute and have no representation competences. Presidents are nominated by the Founder of the Institute and can be recalled at any time. Presidents of ECDR are Mrs. Katarina Kresal and Mr. Aleš Zalar.
The Council for Legal Questions
The Council for Legal Questions is an advisory body which deals with legal and other expert questions concerning activities of ECDR.

The Council for Ethical Questions
The Council for Ethical Questions is responsible for addressing the appeals of the parties with respect to ethical conduct of neutrals accredited with ECDR. Upon request of the Founder the Council addresses also questions with respect to ethical conduct of employees and other professional associates of ECDR.
