ECDR provides three main types of procedures namely procedures for prevention of disputes, management of disputes and resolution of disputes. Parties may choose between procedures mainly by taking into consideration weather they wish to solve the dispute in the process of negotiations facilitated by one or more neutrals or they wish for such neutrals to decide upon the dispute by issuing the award.
